ABOUT US
Originally Jeans became popular in the gold rush era in the USA,
and it became the most popular clothing in the world.
After world war Ⅱ, manufacturers changed their power/shuttle loom to innovation loom in order to meet the growing demand.
The manufacturing process for original denim was lost in the USA.
Interestingly, the process is alive in Japan.
A limited number of shuttle looms are still working in factories.
Shinya Mills has been working in textile business since 1951,
keeping the original manufacturing process for denim.
In early 1980's, a big American Brand visited our factory
to revive their original selvedge Jeans.
In 1990's various young brands started to reproduce
original vintage Jeans in Japan, and we have been working closely with these passionate brands.
We have been working to produce the denim that is
"beyond the original".
